On October 18th, 2022, TAITA Silicon Valley holds the 15th UTBEF: US-Taiwan Biomedical Engineering Forum at Delta Hotels by Marriott Santa Clara Silicon Valley. The National Science and Technology Council organizes an event for AI biotechnology experts from the San Francisco Bay Area and Taiwan practical sharing. More than 1000 VIP representatives join the event. Taiwan ACE Biotek receives a special invitation to display the AI technology application in antiCOVID-19 prevention. How is AI being used in the biotech and healthcare industry? In line with the policy of “Precision Medicine Industry Strategy” and promoting the interaction between Taiwan and the US Silicon biomedical engineering professionals, this forum is a platform that provides cross-disciplinary opinions exchanges. 15th UTBEF invites 18 experts from three academic areas: clinicians, data scientists, and production chain representatives to participate in the “AI x Healthcare” topic and share perspectives in translational medicine, precision medicine, and smart hospitals. Also, the event sets 14 booths for Taiwan’s new startup teams to exhibit their technology. The speakers include Taiwanese physicians, Harvard Medical School, Indiana University professors, and data scientists. They discuss using machine learning (ML) to enhance the success rate of new drug development and the accuracy of personalized medical treatment.
