(Hsinchu, Taiwan – April 20, 2024) – ACE Group held its annual beach cleanup event on April 20 at the HSIN FENG Beach in Hsinchu. The event was attended by employees, their families, and students from National Taiwan Ocean University, all coming together to protect the marine environment through practical action.
ACE Group has been committed to environmental protection for many years. Since 2010, they have adopted the HSIN FENG Beach in Hsinchu and have organized regular cleanup activities every year, calling on employees and their families to join in protecting the coastline. In commemoration of its 20th anniversary, ACE Group expanded its efforts by collaborating with National Taiwan Ocean University to conduct the beach cleanup, combining professional knowledge and action to contribute to marine conservation.
On the day of the event, participants, including colleagues and family members, worked hard to pick up litter, including plastic bottles, bags, Styrofoam, and cigarette butts. After two hours of effort, they cleared dozens of trash bags, significantly contributing to cleaning up the marine environment.
ACE Group has always placed great importance on environmental protection. Marine debris affects marine life and poses health risks to humans. Through beach cleanup activities, ACE Group hopes to raise awareness of the importance of the marine environment, share knowledge and ideas about marine conservation with more people, and work together to protect marine ecology. In the future, ACE Group will continue to promote environmental protection activities and collaborate with various sectors to create a sustainable home.

Hsinchu, Taiwan – February 20, 2024 – ACE Biotek has been invited by the Hsinchu Science Park Bureau to be one of the essential venues for visiting the US biomedical field. Three distinguished scholars, including Dr. Jason Liauw, spine and neurosurgery authority from Stanford University Medical Center, biomedical engineer Lilibeth Martinez from Brown University, and Nicholas Hu, Chairman and General Manager of TEPKOS, visited for the event.
ACE Biotek’s journey from 3C to medical care extends from its 20-year experience in strong wireless communication, 5G, IoT, and other hardware and software integration testing to smart medical care and biomedical testing. The three guests were deeply impressed by the cultural impact of ACE Biotek’s art gallery. They visited the special exhibition of inorganic materials and calligraphy at the Industrial Technology Research Institute, experiencing Chinese art through calligraphy, integrating art and imagination into the work of technologists.
Dr. JC Chen, Vice President of Research and Development at ACE Biotek, shared the application of Terahertz technology. Terahertz technology, or submillimeter wave, is between 5G millimeter wave and infrared, with a wavelength of 0.03-3mm. It can efficiently penetrate and see through objects, with the characteristics of non-contact and non-destructive, and is widely used in pill and cell imaging detection.
ACE Biotek has signed MOUs with dozens of partners. This visit will help to consolidate cross-border cooperation between Taiwan and the United States in the biomedical industry and among researchers.

To promote collaboration in the integration of smart healthcare information systems, AI technology, and clinical applications, ACE Biotek and Taichung Armed Forces General Hospital signed a MOU on December 7, 2023, followed by an on-site visit. The event was led by Director Chen Ying-Kai, with Vice Director Jane-Dar Lee and other chief physicians present for the exchange.
The collaboration between the two parties originated from an earlier healthcare system alliance event this year—the alliance aimed to facilitate cooperation between industry, academia, research, and the medical field. Following a visit and experiential activities led by the Department of Internal Medicine and the Research Department of Taichung Armed Forces General Hospital, both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on smart healthcare. Subsequently, they formalized their collaboration by signing the MOU and outlining plans for future cooperation.

ACE Biotek, known for its successful implementation of smart hospital solutions, officially signed a cooperation memorandum with TWCA on May 30, 2023. The collaboration aims to enhance the partnership between Uniipen smart pen technology and electronic signature applications, working together to create mutual value. Stephen Lee, Chairman of TWCA, and Steve Hsu, President of ACE Biotek, represented the signing ceremony.
TWCA is a leading global provider of network certification services dedicated to driving digital transformation and providing secure and reliable authentication solutions. Its innovative technology and excellent service quality have earned complete customer trust. As the pioneer from 3C to the medical industry, ACE Biotek combines its expertise in wireless communication hardware and software integration with AI platform technology to develop smart medical data upload solutions. These solutions are applied to electronic medical record digitization and instrument data acquisition and analysis, with successful collaborations and implementations in representative domestic hospitals. The signing of this MOU aims to combine the technical strengths of both parties by integrating electronic signature or encryption technology into smart handwriting applications.
Steve Hsu, President of ACE Biotek, stated that the signing of this cooperation memorandum represents an innovative strategy. In addition to being used for EMR, Uniiform smart handwriting system is also utilized with the Data Stream Gateway (DS), which retrieves and integrates device data. By combining it with TWCA’s electronic signature technology in the future, the applications can be expanded from healthcare to other industries. Integration with companies in the science park makes it possible to introduce the technology into more underserved areas.
Stephen Lee, Chairman of TWCA, also emphasized that this collaboration will focus on the innovative integration of electronic signatures with Uniipen smart pens. It represents the perfect combination of both companies’ core competencies and business focus. Dr. Don Arnone is the CEO of TeraView. In March 2023, he visited ACE Solution (ACE), the Taiwan representative partner that launched the TZ6000, a non-destructive wafer quality measurement tool. It incorporates with TeraView’s TeraPulse Lx technologies, particularly for crucial applications such as wafer and substrate defect inspection. TZ6000 characterizes the wafer properties by thickness, refractive index, resistivity, dielectric constant, and surface/subsurface defects scanning graph.

Subsurface Damage (SSD) of semiconductor wafers commonly happens in the surface machining process. At present, wafer inspection relies on VIS/IR/UV optical inspection that can analyze the surface properties of the wafer but not the SSD because of its low penetration depth. Terahertz (THz) waves have the features of high penetration depth in semiconductor wafers for silicon, silicon carbide, and gallium nitride. Therefore, THz-based TZ6000 can meet the market needs for compound semiconductor wafer non-destructive inspection.
